Wholly an individual choice, as personalities differ, so do the styles of cake decorators/artists. Perhaps you have found an inspiration within my site and you find yourself that one step closer to ticking that box as your cake master. Where are you located?
La MODDA Cake Studio is a home based business located in West Hoxton NSW, owned and solely operated by Vesna, cake designer and artist. I hold all relevant accredited certificates to ensure your piece of mind. As an active member of the Cake Decorators Guild of NSW, you are assured of professional service as I commit to standards regulated by the guild and the health association. Your order once in place is no longer treated as just an order, but a creation of you, with attention to every detail, from the cutting of the boards, to the finale in making it a masterpiece, to the expression of delight in your eyes….priceless.

When should I book my cake?
Ideally a minimum six week notice is required for cakes other than fruit cake. For fruit cakes, minimum three months notice is required due to the nature of the cake allowing for the maturing of all the flavours giving you a delectable, rich moist fruit cake.

Do you deliver?
Delivery to the venue can be arranged giving you piece of mind on the day. The cake will be transported and set up at the venue, the delivery cost will be determined by location and venue, generally deliveries up to 50km radius are free within Sydney metro areas. Deliveries can be arranged outside Sydney region at extra cost. Pick up is also available, you will need to ensure you transport the cake on the floor or the boot of your car, never on a seat, and it is advisable to have a non slip mat to prevent movement and also to act as a buffer for any breakages of flowers etc.

Where can I see your cakes and do you offer cake tasting?
I have my cakes on display at my studio, however, many of my cake designs are viewable on this site and on Facebook   I do offer cake tasting with advanced notice as I do bake my cakes fresh every order, I may not always have what you are looking for at the time. I do offer samples at my expos, so keep an eye out for notifications.

Will you replicate a design?
Unfortunately replicating designs is against copyright, they can be used as an inspiration for your design, a close match can be accomplished with variations that would not compromise the artists authenticity. If you really are set on a specific design, then it is suggested you either seek the artist in question to provide you their services, and if that is not possible, seek their permission to allow replication.

What is meant by coffee serve or dessert serve?
A coffee serve is just that, served with coffee after desert. This is normally size 1″ x 1″ x 4″ high, for a desert size it is 2″ x2″ x4″, this is served as dessert. Cupcakes start at $4.50 each, you may wish to check with your venue if they charge extra for plates to serve the cake especially if you are not using their cake designer within the package. Depending on how you will serve the cake, this will determine the size of cake you need to serve your guests.

What is your booking/order process?
Your initial enquiry will give you an insight to an estimated price for your cake and booking availability. The next point of contact would be either via email or personal consultation to cover all the factors that come together in making your ideal wedding cake. By the third contact/consult you would be given a quote for your design or one created by me, you will be required to place a 30% deposit to secure your booking. Once both parties are in agreement, your booking is secured, final payment is required three weeks prior to date of event, at which point, no further changes will be accepted.

Cancellations are acceptable however, a minimum fee of 20% of final cost will be retained to cover preparation charges and loss of booking.
